Program

Overview

Poovayya & Co offers a comprehensive internship program designed to provide law students with hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world legal practice. The program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, fostering the next generation of legal professionals. This Program is curated to help Interns enhance their practical and theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience and mentorship and encourage meaningful contributions to the firm’s projects and identify potential future talent.

Externship
Program
A high-level introduction to law firm operations for first and second-year law students and promising high school students.
1-Month Internship
Program
Available from April to December, this program serves as a gateway to the Spring Internship Program.
Externship
Program
A two-month flagship program from January to March for final-year law students, offering a direct pathway to recruitment opportunities.

Eligibility and Application

Externship Program

Open to first and second-year law students and high school students.

1-Month Internship

Open to third and fourth-year law students (5-year program) and first and second-year law students (3-year program).

Spring Internship

Open to final-year law students and fresh graduates

Application Process

Interns must apply through a Google Form. Applications are assessed based on academic performance, relevant skills, and previous internship experience.

Evaluation and Certification

Interns are required to maintain an internship worksheet and complete a final presentation or written article. Successful interns receive a Certificate of Internship and may be awarded a Letter of Recommendation.

Stipend

The Interns shall be offered a stipend by the Firm at the end of their internship.

Ethical Guidelines

Interns must adhere to firm policies, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions.
